Dots is custom made software generating graphic output in real-time based on various parameters. Dots was developed as visual / vj-ing tool dedicated for events as part of screen settings or architecture.
Core of the software is based on adaptation of Craig Reynolds algorithm from 80s, in which he defines flocking rules and behavior of mass. Algorithm is extended by additional functionality, which help generate readable images or boost dynamics of the output:
Impact of opposite forces are affecting trajectory of the dots. (1) attract each other, but (2) repel each other as well, they try to (3) uniform their movements, (4) but achieve their individual position in space. Effect of forces is based on inputs of user.
